The grounds are located along the cool waters of the Sassafras Creek, with a tranquil backdrop for adventure in the mountain ranges. Surrounded by towering Mountain Ash trees and tree ferns, this is the perfect destination to end your unforgettable day trip.

The picnic grounds are equipped with picnic tables as well as BBQs and toilets.

There is also a little fresh water spring located here. Cross the little bridge and walk 10 metres and it's on your right, at the base of a large Mountain Ash tree.

There are a few other picnic tables along Monbulk Road - Olympic, Kensleys and Beagleys Picnic Grounds, are both easily accessible within a short walk along the Sassafras Creek using the Dandenong Ranges Tourist Track. Kay’s Picnic Ground is our favourite but feel free to explore and decide on which one you like best!
