Looking for a day out that feels a little bit magical? This experience brings together our much-loved Mystery Picnic with a self-driving picnic boat finale on the Yarra - giving you a full day of exploring, eating, and cruising.
Follow digital clues through Melbourne’s laneways to collect your gourmet picnic spread along the way, then hop aboard your own picnic boat to enjoy it all from the water. Think hidden alleyways, great food, and beautiful river views - all without having to plan a thing.

“I chose the Mystery Picnic because it really turns an ordinary day into a little adventure. Even though I’ve lived in Melbourne my whole life, I discovered so many new places.
From hidden alleyways to beautiful pockets of the city, it felt like we were constantly finding places we’d usually walk straight past. Spending the day exploring, laughing between stops, and taking photos with my girlfriends was so special.
Ending it all on the picnic boat was such a highlight. It was the perfect way to soak it all in and really made it feel like a full-day experience — the kind you remember long after it’s over.”

Food and dietaries
We won’t give away too much here, it is part of the mystery after all! But you can safely expect gourmet foods from local artisan producers, including your traditional picnic foods (such as cheese, meats, fruits and crackers etc.). And naturally, as artisan producers will be unique to the different destinations, the final picnic content varies slightly between them.
Absolutely! We can cater for most dietary needs for no additional charge, including gluten free, vegan, and vegetarian diets. Customers can also outline any allergies we should be aware of at the time of booking. We recommend pescatarians book as vegetarians.
Inclusions
The picnic component of the experience is designed for walking. You are welcome to jump on a tram if you don't want to walk too far. The boat is included in the experience.
All food for your picnic will be covered in the cost of your experience.
On the day
The self driving picnic boat requires no boat licence or boating experience. You will enjoy a 1 hour cruise where you can enjoy your picnic spread.
We recommend allowing around 4 hours including the boat component where you will enjoy your picnic spread.
Your digital experience instructions for your picnic will be emailed to you 24 hours prior to your selected date. Post-purchase, your confirmation email will detail all the necessary information about timing and what to pack.
