Food and dietaries
We won’t give away too much here, it is part of the mystery after all! But you can safely expect gourmet foods from local artisan producers, including your traditional picnic foods (such as cheese, meats, fruits and crackers etc.). And naturally, as artisan producers will be unique to the different destinations, the final picnic content varies slightly between them.
Absolutely! We can cater for most dietary needs for no additional charge, including gluten free and vegetarian diets. Customers can also outline any allergies we should be aware of at the time of booking. We recommend pescatarians book as vegetarians.
Inclusions
Pricing is based on two adults.
You’ll need your own transport to reach the starting point at Archerfield Airport for the helicopter ride. After the flight, your first picnic collection stop is about a 30-minute drive away. From there on, your picnic experience continues to be a driving route , covering approximately 17 km, with free parking along the way.
All food for your picnic will be covered in the cost of your experience. If you wish to make additional purchases, we do have some exclusive discounts along the way.
On the day
Sunglasses and your phone or camera for photos. The airport can also be cooler on windy days, so a jacket if you feel the cold.
We recommend allowing around 4-5 hours including the helicopter flight, which will take place before your picnic.
Your digital experience instructions for your picnic will be emailed to you 24 hours prior to your selected date. Post-purchase, your confirmation email will detail all the necessary information about timing and what to pack.
No local knowledge is required to solve the clues on the day. Whether you know the region well, or it's your first visit, the experience is designed to guide you to discover new things during your visit!
You will enjoy your picnic at a local scenic park.
Yes, we recommend flying prior to your third trimester. Check with your GP if unsure.
For safety, we calculate the weight and balance of the helicopter prior to every flight. If any individual guest weighs over 130kg (300lb), or if a group of 2–3 guests has a combined weight over 240kg (530lb), an upgrade to a larger helicopter may be required.
Cancellation and changes
Unlimited reschedules available on this experience. We know things change, so we offer a world-class Customer Changes Policy so you can book with confidence. If you're a fan of legal docs in general, head here!
A full refund will be provided if the helicopter flight can not go ahead due to adverse weather. In such cases, we will contact you to offer a rescheduled experience or a partial refund if the Mystery Picnic proceeds as planned.
