This unique adventure combines our beloved Mystery Picnic with a breathtaking experience at Scenic World in the Blue Mountains.
Start by solving clues and riddles that’ll take you on a journey to collect your special gourmet picnic food bit by bit. Each clue you solve will lead you closer to your next picnic food pickup and even closer to your final stunning picnic location.
Next, it’s time to immerse yourself in the beauty of Scenic World! Your ticket will give you access to all the major attractions, including the world-famous Scenic Railway, Scenic Skyway, Scenic Cableway, and rainforest walkways. Take a ride on the Scenic Railway, the steepest passenger railway in the world, for stunning views of the lush Jamison Valley.
Then, soar above the treetops on the Scenic Skyway or Cableway for breathtaking panoramas of the Three Sisters, Katoomba Falls, and the surrounding landscape. Complete your adventure with a peaceful walk through the ancient rainforest on the Scenic Walkway, where you’ll encounter native plants and wildlife.
This perfect blend of food, adventure, and nature will leave you with unforgettable memories of the Blue Mountains.

What kind of food will we pick up on our journey?
We won’t give away too much here, it is part of the mystery after all! But you can safely expect gourmet foods from local artisan producers, including your traditional picnic foods (such as cheese, meats, fruits and crackers etc.). And naturally, as artisan producers will be unique to the different destinations, the final picnic content varies slightly between them.
Can you accommodate for dietary requirements?
Absolutely! We can cater for most dietary needs for no additional charge, including gluten free, vegan, and vegetarian diets. Customers can also outline any allergies we should be aware of at the time of booking. We recommend the pescatarians to book as vegetarians.
Do I need to pay for food on the day?
All food and wine will be covered in the cost of your experience, including picnic supplied for your perfect picnic spot.
When will I get my clues?
You’ll get your clues via email a day or two before your picnic, after which you'll have all your clues, games and puzzles ready to go! Please note, you'll need a mobile phone with internet access the day of your experience.
What is the difference between a picnic date and a picnic with friends?
Our Mystery Picnic Dates are designed to be a unique couples day out. While the experiences are similar, for groups of two or more teens or adults, we recommend booking a Mystery Picnic with Friends.
What does the premium option include?
Our premium mystery picnics include everything in our All Inclusive experience, along with some added extras. These include a bonus stop along the way, a hot drink, and a delicious specialty snack. Please note that a bottle of wine is not included as standard unless a wine add on has been selected.
How long does the experience go for?
We recommend spending 6 hours from start to finish. But you can definitely take longer than this if you want to go on a few detours to explore the region a bit more!
What is your rescheduling and cancellation policy?
The Scenic World tickets are non-refundable but the date and time can be changed if 3 business days notice is given.
What is your wet weather policy?
There is limited undercover options at the picnic end location so if you'd prefer to reschedule your picnic due to rain we'll need 3 business days notice. We encourage you to keep an eye on the forecast in rainier seasons.
Do I need to know the area well to solve the clues?
No local knowledge is required to solve the clues on the day. Whether you know the region well, or it's your first visit, the experience is designed to guide you discover new things during your visit!
