Australian celebrity chef Darren Purchese has created the Hunt with Darren series with AmazingCo, designing an incredible hunt around Melbourne’s markets to find treats and ingredients you can take home to learn to cook like him!
Fresh bread, colourful produce, and cheese stalls you could lose an hour at: Queen Victoria Market has all the makings of a very good toastie. Celebrity chef Darren Purchese has approved some of the best market stops and teamed up with us to turn them into the ultimate toastie hunt.
Start with a campfire hot chocolate and a toastie from some of the market favourite’s, then follow your map to six stalls for the bread, cheese, and veg behind two of Darren's vego toasties. One savoury and one sweet, so everyone is happy! It's all pre-paid, so there's no ordering, just collecting.
Back home, Darren walks you through the recipes on video at your own pace, with an optional sweet toastie for the morning after, leftovers to use up, and foodie games if the day isn't done.

This experience is self-guided. Collect your physical map at the first stop and follow it between stalls, then finish at home cooking along with Darren's videos at your own pace.
All walking once you're at the market. You'll be carrying a fair few ingredients by the end, so driving there is recommended.

The toasties are vegetarian. Gluten free and vegan versions aren't available for this experience, as the ingredients are pre-selected and collected along the route.
